California | Im merely a student, independent form the government. I am a business student who is researching (looking at/for information w/no money involved) the dairy/cattle/poultry industry and seeing what areas are the most economically impacted. My team and I (2 other students) have spoken with California farmers to see what their main cost issues have been. In California, feed happens to be a big driving cost, considering land is so difficult and expensive to upkeep, compared to midwest farmers, who (from whom I've talked to), generally upkeep more land and independently source their forage/ingredients. With this in mind, decided to expand from Cali --> USA as a whole, to see if the issues that exist in California are the same as the issues that exist elsewhere. I'm just trying to do some good.
