Confined feeding is a different animal. Cow calf is cows eat grass but need adequate protein to do well. Lots of people fall in a trap of feeding high quality feed and giving their profits away. We all have fixed costs of rent or payments on land and tons of money tied up. I as cows. Any extra feed is what can be controlled. Sorry for poor typing my phone is dying and I can’t hit backup.
