But what we have seen on soil sample results is anywhere we have had rye even if chopped for silage is how high oir organic matter is. Every singke farm where we have had rye is in mid 3s now. None of our values have really changed. So dont really do anything extra.
Put 50 lbs of N on rye. 150 lbs of map. Notill corn into rye stubble, put fertilizer on 2 dsys later, turn pivot on make a pass, leave alone till spray or water again. Last yr we were wet enough only watered that corn once and not till August | |
