But the circumstances behind the drop, which happened without any expansion in the US herd. So You think you can make money at $1500 to $1800 calves. What's to keep them from dropping another $500 plus? Fundamentals mean absolutely nothing in a market where virtually every aspect can be and is manipulated. Good post. We're in an environment where one tweet can, and has, changed everything. And who knows who has a bit of advance notice. And as usual it's the cow calf operation that takes it in the gut. So much for bringing production back to the good ol USA. |
