| Well obviously not the US. I think I heard heifers at 38% on feed? Shortest. smallest herd expansion in history. Not a great deal of interest in expansion when calves were $2500, more liquidation when they are $1500. We are quickly becoming either the hog industry dressed up in cowboy hats, or the sheep industry where more and more competing meat is imported and you hope there is actually a market for what you raise. Making a profit is a moot point. | |
