95 miles NW of Quitaque, TX | I think you are charging way to much for the house at $1250. I am sure you live in some small town.
I am glad to finally see where the poverty line statement of $140000 came from. I think that is way to high unless you are living in most of the big cities. In NYC and SF, etc., $150K is poverty wages.
I am not so sure why people want to live in these big cities. I live in a crowded city with 200,000 people. The next big city is 200 miles to the south, 258 miles to the east, 287 miles to the west, 350 miles to the southeast and northwest is 422 miles. That is crowded to me. I do have good medical facilities within 2-3 miles of this house.
Landline charges are getting absurd. The landline charge that can be added to my MILs internet was $90 per month. Made my cheap MIL decide the cell phone was cheap and she would use the cell phone. Especially since I am paying for the cell phone but not her internet/landline charges.
I agree vehicles are to expensive. I went by a church in a VERY small town this weekend and I saw 75-80% of the vehicles were pickups. There were a few SUVs. I am not sure if there were any cars. Now this is a ranching and farming community.
You forgot to add in the calculation Starbucks and Dutch Bros coffee.
I do think that people that live out in the small cities of a few hundred to a few thousand are going to have to start paying $100K to get someone to come work for ag business or farmers. You do compete with the big cities business with all the fun stuff to do in the bigger communities have to offer. |
