I have left mine hanging in a favorite tree near the calving pasture. It was much handier than trying carry on the ATV. The length makes turning left difficult so 3 rights was often used to make a left.
I think 60-80 days in the sun was hard on mine. The calving pasture was 3/4 mile from the barn and before I damaged my catch, I liked having it handy over the turning challenge.
