A brush can clear light snow pretty well, but hard pack is tough because the bristles do not bite into it enough. You usually need a bit of downward pressure or a blade to break the crust before the brush can move it. The Rock Valley brushes run smooth and the extra reach does help the operator see what is going on, especially for a younger driver.
