| None of the definitions given so far apply to those Covid shots. Having said that, yes the meaning of words can evolve over time as was evident when they had to change the definition of vaccine so they could market the gene therapy shots as vaccines. We can argue the good and bad about that but that definition change was literally done for that reason.
While we are arguing about the linguistics issue it does indicate another issue. Many people are falsely using trials and research from drugs classified under the older definitions and applying them to drugs that only fit the definition after the definition change. Obviously that is not a valid scientific method. Many people understand that the old definitions had to be changed to encompass the new modes of action but they don’t understand that that also means that the old trials, research, and statistical data of the old drugs also no longer apply to the new drugs. It is more than just the old definitions that no longer applies to those new shots. The new shots simply do not fall under the old umbrella for more things than just the definition.
