Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | I could not tell you, without doing a good deal of research, what vaccinations I have had. I started first grade in August, 1965 and I’m pretty sure my parents met all the requirements in place at the time. While in elementary school I remember getting a sugar cube that was soaked in something, don’t know what. The county health nurse came to the school to give it. I also remember getting something that was “popped” into my arm by some means. I think it was air pressure but don’t know for sure. It left a circular mark on my bicep that was visible for several years. Can’t see it anymore. All that happened before I got old enough to have a say in things. Now, I decide whether or not I want to take a shot or take a chance. Since you are no longer in the military you now also have that choice.
As far as wondering why, I suppose it’s because the incidence of recurrence is small enough that the powers that be have decided it’s not economically feasible. |
