It allows the industry much more ability to slow chain speed and influence what's left of the cash market.

If the current unit could be sold for a smaller plant it would put local feeders in. A little better position. Obviously will never happen.
They broke up Carnegie, AT and T and others. National packer structure needs examined. Truthfully its a national food security issue.
You aren’t wrong either. But in all likelihood they will have to speed up the chain, as the numbers available will more efficiently use the kill floor that is operating.
One would have to be somewhere down the foolish spectrum to buy plant capacity that there isn’t sufficient numbers to fill to capacity. |
