This is my perspective as well. Seems some of the less productive areas think that inputs, land, rent, taxes, etc are flat across the corn belt. I can almost guarantee that most if not all input and land/rent prices follow productivity up at an even rate. So just because we may grow 250 bushel corn and 70 bushel beans doesn’t mean we clear 100 bushels of corn profit more than the 150 bushel areas
That’s all very true but if you want to see pristine farm yards and buy outstanding used equipment you don’t drive to the anus of the corn belt to find it. |
