Alberta | Had a single screw and very unhappy with it, bought the same brand in twin screw and they were 2 different machines. Single screw was very erratic in mixing, hay and straw took forever and often times there were dead spots where hay and straw would not get sucked down into the mix. with the twin screw if you add roughage first, by the time you are finished with adding everything else the roughage is chopped. Very little wait time to chop fine. I got a 700 single for sale still lots of life if your heart is set on a single. | |
