charts are historical facts. They tell us with little certainty what the future will be. About the same certainty as a gut feeling. All of the amazing chart revelations are only seen after the fact. They are just guesses for the future.
If charts had the ability to 'beat the house' the house would have somehow made them illegal the same way casinos stop players with methods of beating the house.
They did exactly as you suggested. They preyed on our laziness and desire for the easy button. So they create a whole industry that feeds the masses what they crave to keep them from looking closer. Imagine if they banned price charts or didn't report prices any more? The reaction of the skeptics would have people looking closer. Instead use misdirection to keep people's minds occupied and lazy while the truth hides in plain sight.
