Equipment did drop in the 80's. 4450 was around $50,000 and they ended up selling for around $33,000. That was MFD.
The manufactures made the mistake of continuing production when sales dropped.
I don't think they are doing that now. You should drive by the Unverferth plant outside of Shell Rock Iowa. I don’t know how big that lot is south of the plant, I’d guess about 20 acres. Completely covered in grain carts and wagons. That was last week. Harvest is done. |
