Again, my best friend in 1984 worked at National Beef in Liberal KS. He was making almost $20/hr back then. Those jobs were coveted. I put in an application but never was called in for an interview. Lots of guys I ran around with tried to get on there, but couldn't. Sometime after that it all changed.
