Southern Missouri | At sixty anything, maybe even low 70s, the only cotton planted in our area will be the cotton gin sharecroppers, new crop beans here are 11 bucks and beans will dang near gross as much as low sixty cent cotton and cost less than half as much to grow , biggest issue is what are they gonna do with all the extra used pickers , some dealer activity already trying to figure out what to do with used pickers , we also have some suppliers filing court papers on producers that barely made it in 24 and hoped for price increase in 25 and instead got a big decline , at 62 cents those guys that were shaky after 24 are done with the current price ,nearly everyone of those producers are good farmers just got caught in big expense cost / income squeeze, not easy to let a high dollar picker set and plant beans but something has to give now ,bankers gonna insist | |
