S Illinois | Farmers orgs definitely do. So FB, the checkoffs, etc. Then the actual writers of the Farm Bill definitely hear from producers as they make changes. So Fapri related universities including Missouri, Texas A&M, Illinois. I am sure K-state has provided input on farmers profitability and related subsides. So each time people go to a meeting and talk to people in these orgs, or even at local politician meetings, the general tone gets to those in position of power.
If we don't want it as an industry we need to go to the orgs, the university researchers, and even the politicians and say no more. But there are a lot of producers that dont feel the same way you do as seen in many of the crop insurance threads. | |
