Tyson is shutting down its beef plant in Lexington Nebraska which kills 5000 per day and employs 2700. Also moving their Amarillo to one shift. This all on top of closing the beef and pork facility in Emporium KS in February.
The time to exit the beef business looks to be now. Packers will now regain control of the beef market.
This is extremely bearish cattle going forward
