 Thumb of Michigan | If you can skip the regular doc and get into an orthopedic doctor, would also be my recommendation too. Most likely you'll need to get an MRI, because muscles/tendon damage isn't real visual on x-ray. You more likely have a tendon tear than a muscle problem. Muscles can stretch more than tendons, I've be told.
Realize all this info is from a non-doctor, just someone who's had a tendon tear. My most recent tendon tear was stitched back together for a faster recovery time. I was back on the football field officiating in 90 days verses 6 months immobilization. I know a guy that got a tendon in his foot fixed, 90 days is supposed to be his recovery (back to work) time. | |
