I agree with you. My question would be how much of the K is lost and if the K lost is manageable. In other words he needs to add extra K to the field to make sure that he gets the amount of K for the crop to be planted. I do not know the land or his circumstance's. I am getting to the point that I want to minimize fertilizer and soil leaving my field. There are many reasons but here are several. the loss means that your are not as efficient with the fertilizer. This raises your cost of production. Then there are regulations on fertilizer leaving your farm and they will get worse further down the road. Rs will not be in power forever in the future and some things are not worth going after to save a few farmers. On and on.
