Minnesota | Sometimes.
Now you have been compensating for the deficiency for 3 months, which can cause other imbalances and weaknesses.
Go see orthopedics. In my town, we have a private orthopedic practice that has a "urgent care" and can usually get you in same day....you might have something like that. You won't get anything but a bill seeing primary care.
You could also try to get in to a physical therapy clinic -- you may or may not need a referral and it could be dependent on the clinic and/or your insurance. The PT mindset is to get you rehabed and back to doing the activities that you want to be doing. An experienced PT should know what can be treated with PT and what needs additional intervention.
I had a significant ski injury almost 2 years ago.....the longer you limp around and compensate for your deficits, the harder it will be to "get back to normal" later on.
