It is doable to get the house in order, but my guess there will be more than one that won't or can't
You would be wrong about newcomers not having opportunity to get a foot hold @ the bottom. Know a guy that didn't farm or own an acre of farm ground until around 1992. Don't remember exact amount, but he had saved up $100,000 plus in cash when he bought his first farm. He continued to buy ground and rented it out until he got around 1000 acres bought, then he went to farming it himself. Today he owns debt free around 2400 acres.
