S.E. Iowa | I stumbled into what I thought was a good deal on a home furnace. It was installed in 2/22 built in 12/21 and Payne brand. The guy who had it was desperate for heat and put it in new. He was going to buildi a new house and needed heat so he had to replace his old one. He ran it the rest of winter of 22 and 23. New house for 24 and he tore the old one down. Currently my house has a 100000 btu furnace in it and in adequate duct work so my upstairs is cold. If I put this 80000 btu furnace in upstairs it will be way more than what is needed. I am remodeling and insulating along with new windows. Putting duct work in is not a problem because it is gutted. I was just going to put a air handling unit in the upstairs with a A coil and a heating coil from my woodstove. Then if I wanted to not rely on the woodstove put a boiler in the basement. What suggestions is there out there? | |
