Bottom of the Mitten | My opinion won't be very popular with this crowd but I say end all insurance and subsidies now. Let there be blood. If your occupation is to farm then you know it comes with substantial risks. Plan accordingly. I'm not aware of any other business that the government will not let you fail. If I want to own a gas station, or shoe shop, or bowling alley, or hardware store, or whatever I'm not aware of any government programs to protect the price you get or to make sure you have a product to sell. Why should farming be any different? | |
