Whether health insurance, student loans, ag subsidies, or most any subsidies; you don’t lower the cost of something that’s overpriced by giving its purchaser the ability to pay that high price. Giving the purchaser the ability to pay that high price will only increase the said item, especially when gov continually steps in and increases the amount the purchaser can pay. I’ve mentioned before how w could slowly wean off most of the ag subsidies, but none of it is going to happen without some degree of pain. The longer it’s delayed though the worse the pain gets. And it’s why we are 37 now 38 and counting trillion in debt.
