A Mac laptop can give you pretty seamless integration with an iPhone and iPad. "It just works" is what I like about using a Macbook Pro with my iPhone and iPad. It is possible to run Windows (or other operating systems) on the Macintosh OS ("OS X"). There's a free program called "VirtualBox" from Oracle that gives you a virtual machine environment, into which you can install Windows, and then inside that Windows virtual machine, you can run most Windows applications. You'll need to buy and install a Windows installation. With VirtualBox, you can also run other operating systems, such as Linux, etc. on OS X. |
