| I thought about that idea. No, I think there needs to be a bridge there, so, yes, the bridge needs to be rebuilt. However, I AM saying there needs some foresight and planning to keep the larger ships going up the Bay to Baltimore. That most likely require a new port developed south of the Rte 50 bridge. If the larger ships were kept south of Rte 50 bridge, then the bridge that was damaged can be rebuilt to the previous standards, and not built larger and higher so large ships can go underneath. Let's face it.... the upper Chesapeake Bay is too shallow to handle larger ships. That needs to be addressed. That's my opinion. |
