 East Central Arkansas | We have two chest type freezers. At present time I have four regular home refrigerator freezers plugged up. Also a upright freezer. Really too much stuff running just for the two of us. One refrigerator and the upright freezer was my mothers and in the house we are redoing. In the old store I still have a couple of the old chest type drink boxes we hook up for some vegetable storage at times. We still have a old style store produce box but has been years since I used it. Has the sliding slanted doors on top and two big swinging doors on bottom. It was to hard to keep the temperature regulated. Makes a good storage cabinet that shuts up though.
I have no idea on the canning jars. You mention the corned beef. Wife has been corning some different cuts when we catch a sale at the grocery store. She also did some venison that turned out really good and have a couple ready to cook probably tomorrow. Going to try smoking on the smoker grill.
Have never thought about canning the corned meat. My wife cans a good bit of deer. Will probably never have enough beef to think about canning it. I wonder how canning the corned venison would work. | |
