Subject: RE: Cataract surgery, multifocal lens, and Halos

Wisconsin
I had both eyes done a few years ago and went with the multifocal lenses. At that time it was about $3K extra out of pocket for each eye. Well worth it. I was up to about 2.25 readers before the surgery. Now while my near sight isn't perfect, I don't need readers. I struggle some with some of the really small print. I had a couple artifacts like the nighttime halos, but now they either went away or I don't notice them. The only lasting negative effect is that my eyes seem drier and I need drops sometimes. The multifocal lenses are a godsend in my opinion.
