Texas | I always thank veterans and have for a long time .
Of course when i see full time FF . I thank them and we talk a bit .
Police seem very stand off when you offer your hand and thank them . They almost think its some kind of way to get them in some kind of trouble .
They usually shake my hand and say thanks . I tell them hey we are on the same team . Im a VFD . They will check you and say “ where , whos your cheif “.
Its a shame our people that are 99% good are so afraid of trouble they are so standoffish .
I could understand it if i looked like a criminal , but if you googled farmer , heck they might have my picture :).
Had a bunch of them let me off of tickets over the years . | |
