North Central Indiana | My personal opinion is the guys standing there expecting the government to hand them money are the lemmings and are no better than the ones abusing welfare and the like. I don’t grow it expecting to get a handout for it. Now I will take my money if they send it, any prudent business person would. But I’m also not on here crying because they may or may not actually send me another check this year. Some guys have already received 4 checks from the government for crops just since March. How much more money do you need? And should I be hoping we get more government money if I’m surviving fine or should I be leaning toward letting nature take its course and thin out the competition? I know where I stand on that, I don’t wish bad on fellow farmers, but I also won’t cry about the guys paying outrageous rent feeling a lot of pain. | |
