Same farm as t-boss SC IA
I had both eyes done 6 years ago. I had hoped to get the multifocal ones as I wore contacts like that forever but unfortunately it turned out that my eyes are so bad that at that time no one made a lens that would work. I had the option of keeping up close vision but lose the far away or keep far away & lose up close & wear cheaters to read or work on the computer. Since I was already used to wearing the cheaters I went with that option. I was very near sighted so to go from taking my contacts out & putting things right up to my nose to see to not being able to see things clearly without cheaters was a huge learning curve! I have managed to do fine even though it’s not perfect. I had a lot of trouble with the bright sun bothering me. I couldn’t wear sunglasses as they bugged me. I wear a brimmed hat all the time. I haven’t driven at night for years because of the halos & I still can’t. I am forced to drive a couple of miles during election years to get home from working at those but it’s 2 miles…I can do that much. Then last winter I noticed I wasn’t seeing clearly & it turned out I had smears on both lenses which is something I didn’t realize happened. I had to have some lasik done to clear them off. For a time I could see real clear but now that my eyes have settled in I need to wear glasses when I’m outside or inside stores to see clearer. In the house they bug me unless I’m watching a tv show I really want to see. I’d love to say once you get them done your eyes will never change but I have yet to talk to anyone that hasn’t had some change. At some point you will need cheaters or regular glasses….or you could even go with contacts from what I understand. My eyes will never be good but at least I don’t wear coke bottle glasses anymore!
