I had lasik done so not entirely the same thing at all put they do peel back the cornea an reshape it so that I could see better. What I am told with the halo effect is that at night your eyes dilate past the point of correction meaning the scar that they used to correct the vision and the result is that you now have a halo effect until the pupil dilates back inside the area of correction. Driving at night sucks now and I don’t enjoy it but I don’t see any other way to stop it either other than driving with the dome light on so your eyes don’t dilate so much
