North Central Indiana | This is what I struggle with. Is it really deserved? Beans were low in 2024 as well, but no trade war. So how do you square it? Can’t blame the trade war when I haven’t sold any beans this fall below my high from last fall. It’s a good talking point, the media loves it because it’s a black mark on Trump, the farmer loves it because it’s free money, etc. But isn’t really deserved? Did someone lie to you about the futures price a year ago when you bought soybeans to plant for 2025? I just don’t see it. If you went all in on corn for 2025 because of the price then imo you’re stupid and part of our “suppressed” corn price all summer long. If you planted beans you at least understood economics and how commodities interact with each other price wise | |
