^^ BINGO. Pretty much sums it up right there in that answer whether some want to swallow the fact or not.  I hate preaching on here about supply and demand and the government intervention into both but this is a perfect example of market movement due to “demand intervention “ whether some want to believe it or not. Facts are facts!  
Yes, 6 million less soybean acres…..supply.
Yes, SA producing more beans every year due to land clearing…..supply
Both have price implications and one thinks messing with demand has none?
Kinda reminds me of a guy hitting his head on a wall ten times a minute in May and then backs it down  to only four times a minute the last week in October. Those four times still hurt but he feels a helluva lot better than he did all summer. In the mean time kinda forgot how good he felt beforehand :)
Profitability in farming is a blessing due to a lot is out of our control(weather and disease). That is totally up to the one above not a political party.
I do not expect or want Government handouts in farming.
BUT, GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION IS NOT A BLESSING!
