Central ND | Field chemicals seem to struggle with asparagus.... I had this giant bush growing on the edge of my felid and it always came back after spraying year after year. I knew of another one growing in a ditch. I had no idea at the time it was wild asparagus , nor had I ever eaten any. I "got after" the giant bush with extreme tillage before it spread......I worked that area black.. THEN I discovered I destroyed a LARGE asparagus plant! I thought surely, it will grow back but it never did! Tillage killed it.
I would think it would grow again in the same soil because new shoots come up right alongside the old ones.
