| It's the middlemen.(ie.Packers) Fats and feeders down everyday for a while while Boxed Beef was up 12 days in a row. Did that alleviate prices at the meat counters? Did that drop prices for fat bids or at feeder auctions? You and I both know the answer to both so you tell me the real answer to lower beef prices....for the consumer. Covid had raised prices on a lot of stuff and just never came back down and now throw a few tariffs on stuff for another excuse they can use. The real kicker is the inflation report of I think I read at 3%, higher than last report but better then it was but still the 3% is on top of the inflated prices from the previous years. Just keeps tick ticking up! |
