Who said anything about needing it? Just because it is deserved in this case doesn't make it needed.
^^^My exact thought as well. If my herbicide drifts and smokes off 100' foot soybeans the entire length of neighbors field id probably pay him the balance on damage done. Not fair to him to take a 20 Bpa yield hit on account of my screw up.
