| We used to grow a lot of milo, but have not for about 10 years now.
I found we had to plant it early in order for it to be dry in the fall.
i always liked may 10th as a planting date, then it would mature in late September while it was still warm and the days were longer. We had our best yields with dairy manure injected. Our best yield was around 180 with the good parts of the field hitting 200. I think we always planted around 65000 seeds. We quit because we could not kill the pigweeds. | |
