Subject: Johnson grass and shattercane in corn next year.

20 miles west of Indianapolis Indiana
New farm to me in 2025. Has both Johnson grass and shattercane.

Was worked ground. Ran Simazine and atrazine after ground was worked and planted along with 1/2 rate of Resicore and followed up with atrazine and glyphosate and other 1/2 rate of Resicore post.

Had good clean corn and didn’t see any shattercane or Johnson grass.

Prior farmer was non gmo corn and I think that was part of the problem to not have an easy post option.

What else can I do to keep working on this farm? The 1/2 that was in beans had a bit of a catastrophe and had some Johnson grass get away from me. I hand removed it and sprayed it with roundup but sure some went to seed.

Beans on the farm were no till with burndown of valor/MTZ and Zidua and Gly/24D.

Post was Liberty/Clethedim/warrant/roundup. Had some sprayer nozzle issues I didn’t catch on this farm in the beans.
