Try to keep as many people from signing right away as possible. Form a group of landowners and hire a qualified attorney/s to represent all of you for a common goal which may not be to shut down the project, but rather to benefit from it. Don't just consider monetary compensation. Consider what you will receive (one time) vs what you may give up (forever). Liability protections, claims against health risks, noise/nuisance, setbacks from homes, etc. all need to be addressed. | |
