northeastern Ohio | Just go with one of the sharing organizations. CHM or Medi-share. I've been a member of CHM since Obamacare forced me to get some type of plan. Prior to that, there were health savings accounts that worked well, but I don't think you can get one now.
I've had 2 claims since I joined CHM. The most recent was last month. Tell the hospital that you are self pay and ask for a discount. The discounts I received last month ranged from 27% to 100%. Yes 100% discount on one bill! One of the doctors discounted 90% and another was 80%. The first hospital would only go 27%.
