North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast
When I kept bees, there are always people that will come out to get bees in situations like that. In suburbia, the Pest Control companies would call on our Bee Club when a hive needed removing for free bees. They would do the demo and deal with any cleanup issues with the owners for a fee since bees are protected and can’t be ‘killed’. Any club member wanting bees would post their info on our website to be contacted by the companies or individuals needing bee removal. I picked up several hives that way.
Out in rural America, a beehive might be dealt with like a hornets nest in a lot of cases.
