Northeastern Pa
Great pics. Second year growing it. Severe drought this year. On lighter soils the heads barely emerged. Yields ranged from 50 to 150. For a 100 average. Happy with that for the year. For comparison some beans ran less than 20. We have good markets for it here. I sure have a lot to learn. One small field was a disaster with foxtail, I was able to cut it but yield was half of everything else. Had some second year Milo that yielded the same as rotated ground, not sure if this is normal or not. Going to roll the dice and try three years on a piece. It’s either that or 50 bushel corn or 0 bushel beans there becuz of the deer. Dekalb 36-07 seemed to be the best variety so far. Pictures of droughted Milo. 2 inch heads if they emerged.
