NEMO | The mostly small breeders I know, 200 cows or less, are honest in their assessments. To put it another way, they have nothing to gain by skewing the data, so they tell it the way it is. If a bull has crooked toes or a bad heel set, they report it and don't try to breed it on, no matter what the bull looks like, or how much he sold for....nothing to be gained. So we can agree to disagree, I say some data is better than none. You have NO FAITH, I have SOME. I guess you have NO FAITH in recording birthweights either. Funny, I take my job seriously when I hold that calf on the bathroom scales with mom looking on close. If a calf weighs in too heavy, I report it the way it is and it goes on the sire and dams EPD records. It's dishonest for me to call a calf light and then have the guy I sell a bull to have problems. So yes...I know how the the data is collected, and if you think I'm dishonest...well, piss on you
