Lakefield, MN | I have a Steiger 335 that has always wandered about the guidance line. You will be going through the field and it will show off 3-4-5 inches and seem to be lazy getting back online. It has been this way for a long time, but this year I tried running a 3pt strip bar and the issue is more apparent than ever. It has a Pro 700 Plus with factory auto guidance install and cellular RTK on MNCORS.
I have tried different P-gains in the autosteer cal. I can go to a gain of (3.0) before the system gets unstable. I also tried aggressiveness settings from 100% up to 150% this fall, and that did not eliminate the issue.
Talking with others around it seems that maybe this is just the way these are, but I do know that the other guys putting down strips with John Deere or Fendt systems don't have the wiggles I do.
Anybody have any thoughts on this? Even if it is buying another system for guidance...
