Subject: Compensation for overstocking

Weights for selling pigs are now over 300 pounds. Way heavier than they used to be. I understand why someone would overstock when they fill a barn since there will be death loss. The current group in my barn was still overstocked when it was time to sell the first pigs. An overfull pen of 300+ pound pigs does some serious damage to gates/feeders.
Is there any formula for compensation if a barn is overstocked? I like the people I feed for. They have been good to work with. I’m just trying to gather information before I even bring up the subject of overstocking.
