Right about $40 an acre for my single pass.
$260 a bag corn plants 3.333 acres. (I got quoted $307 for a dekalb vt2 this fall, but we'll use more conservative numbers)
That's about $40 an acre savings
So yeah, the chemical is paid for by cheaper seed.
Your numbers will very depending on pop and chemical program.
It's also easier for me to do 1 pass, I have hay too put up in June.
