What can I get by with amount if cover dirt on tile
I’ve been in some situations where my choice was a shallow tile or no tile. I’ve got some that’s 18” to the bottom of 4”. No real fear of big time erosion where they are luckily. And I don’t do any of the massively deep tillage I hear about some doing.
My honest answer is whatever depth you won’t hit it is ok. But don’t expect miracles as far as area drained. Don’t be afraid to run something a little flatter than you’d like if it’ll give you some more depth.
